Easter sure hopped up on me quickly this year! We got our biggest snow storm of the whole winter a few days ago, and although it’s already melting, I’m just not thinking Spring or Easter. There is still time for the Easter Bunny to get some of these books into everyone’s Easter baskets.
Our Favorite Easter Books
How to Catch the Easter Bunny – Adam Wallace
This Adam Wallace series is quickly becoming a favorite with my girls. The bright colors, fun rhymes and silly story lines are a big hit, and it creates the perfect book to get them all excited for the number one bunny!
Duck & Goose Here Comes the Easter Bunny – Tad Hills
These two make the cutest duo as they explore Easter together. Bright illustrations and simple text makes this one great for your youngest listeners or early readers to try on their own.
Happy Easter Mouse – Laura Numeroff
A perfect choice for toddlers working on counting and colors as mouse finds eggs hiding all around the house and tries to figure out the reason.
The Biggest Easter Basket Ever – Steven Kroll
I love this Steven Kroll series of Biggest Ever books. Clayton and Desmond start out competing, but yet again, the two cousins end up working together to make the holiday contest even better. With two girls so close in age, I am always a fan of books about teamwork!
Happy Easter Little Critter – Mercer Mayer
This book is no surprise to my lists. I love sharing the same ol’ Little Critter I remember from my childhood with my girls. The Critters are up for some holiday fun in this one that both kids and adults will relate to.
The Easter Egg – Jan Brett
As always, this Jan Brett is filled with gorgeous illustrations! Her books are just as much about the illustrations as the story line, and this is no exception. Follow this bunny along on a contest that ends with kindness being rewarded.
Pete the Cat Big Easter Adventure – James Dean
Pete is on another adventure at Easter. This time he gets to help out the Easter Bunny! Pete is perfect for the littlest readers with the simple story line making it super easy for them to follow along.
The Night Before Easter – Natasha Wing
I almost forgot this one for this list, but this series is too cute to leave out! Who can resist little kiddos asleep all snug in their beds with visions of jelly beans dance in their heads. Yet another cute spin on the Christmas classic.
God Gave Us Easter – Lisa Tawn Bergren
This one is a great introduction on Easter for your youngest readers. Get the meaning behind Easter in a simple, easy to understand way.
Hoppy Clubhouse Easter – Marcy Kelman
Pete is hatching a plan to win the Bunny Hop race but he can’t spoil the fun for all your favorites from the clubhouse. Everyone loves spending a holiday at the Clubhouse!
Minnie and Daisy work overtime in this holiday story to make sure everyone has the perfect bonnet for the parade. Will they succeed?
A Royal Easter – Andrea Posner-Sanchez
Your little Princess will love seeing how the Disney Princesses celebrate the holiday and make it a royal celebration. A bonus win when a book comes with stickers you can use to decorate your own eggs and some press out egg holders!
I hope you all have a Happy Easter and that big bunny drops a couple good reads into your Easter basket!
